This is a lutherium (antique bowl for washing and ablution) with a low ring foot and horizontal rims. The vessel has a decoration of two relief plates-applications with a scene of a griffin tearing apart a deer. This lutherium is part of a unique set of antique bronze vessels of the end of the 6th - 4th centuries BC. It was found in the 1960s in the floodplain of the Supii River (a left tributary of the Dnipro) near the village of Pischane, Cherkasy region. Similar metal dishes were made at the end of the 6th - in the first quarter of the 5th centuries in Athens and, possibly, in other centers of ancient Greece.
