Newfoundlander Luben Boykov and Swedish artist Richard Brixel created The Meeting of Two Worlds. The sculpture symbolizes the suspected meeting of the Norse and the Indigenous peoples of North America. The sculpture also represents the migration of humanity.

The bronze sculpture stands on the boardwalk between the visitor centre and the encampment at L’Anse aux Meadows.
