Meditating with your camera just before nightfall (2020)
Follow your intuition
And go somewhere
outside, Before nightfall.
There, lay down the sticks
That are the legs of the tripod.
Set them up like your legs and feet, On the floor, almost
Buried. Screw the camera onto the screw pitch,
Clip it to the tripod,
Turn it on, scroll the wheel,
Change the aperture, change the shutter speed.
Look into the viewfinder, Turn the rings of the lens
As softly as
possible. Then look away, Step back just
A little. Start recording
And listen and look,
Focused like the
camera, On everything that is
happening
Here and now, just before nightfall.
If you do not have a tripod of a
camera… Follow your intuition
And go somewhere outside,
Before nightfall. There, stand straight On your legs and feet Standing
on the floor,
Almost buried.
Drop your
arms along
your body.
Move your head slightly, Until you find the right balance.
Close your eyes a while,
Then open them
again. And listen as you
look, Focused,
On everything that is happening
Here and now, just before nightfall.
You are all set!
