A smoking pipe used to smoke tobacco is known as hookah. Smoking a hookah is not just a personal activity but the most important and common social activity that the people of Haryana engage in. Almost every family owns at least one hookah. This hookah, bought from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, was used by the head of the family to smoke tobacco while seated on a manja (charpoy).
