Siena, Italy

The painting, recently acquisited by the local Municipality in order to reconstruct a significant corpus the a painter who was born in Casole d'Elsa itself, shows how the hints of Domenico Beccafumi, the master of Sienese Mannerism, could be joined with the gentle, courtly style of the Raphael-esque painters like Perin del Vaga and Marco Pino.
