A Maestro Curandero (traditional healer) is walking along the Cajamarca sacred lagoon of the highlands of Peru to collect plants for his natural remedies. In proximity of the waters, medical plants grow in a way only recognised by indigenous experts. The transmission of medical knowledge is part of the intangible heritage of the Cajamarca region.
In the image, the walk of the Maestro Curandero mirrors the skyline between the sun and the sun's luminous reflection in the water.
