Statue in Vicenza stone represting Mary with the child seated on the throne. The mother and the child are dressed with sacerdotal robes: a tunic with a chasuble with the medieval pallium, around the back, the child is dressed with the roman pallium. Mary has a veil on her head, partially covering the shoulders, and a crwon with lilies; she is mutilated of the right hand in which was holding a rose, as shown in the similar statue of the Fontevivo abbey. The head of the child is mended at the base of the neck, after the fall at the beginning of the XVII century, and the right part of the face is missing from the beginning of the XX century. Realised for the main altar of the cathedral, it was placed there until the half of the XVI century, when it was carried in a niche on the east side of the new bell tower, being there until 1973, when it was collocated in the crypt, in the former Saint Gislemerio. Restored in 1985, in 1999 was placed in the musuem.
