A stylised figural presentation; anthropic-zoomorphic, hybrid motifs in the form of animals, birds and insects with human physical characteristics, emerging from mouths of others. On the left-hand side a standing figure with grasshopper’s body with one wing, the human head in the right profile and the bird’s head in the left is lighting a cigarette. On the right-hand side is a bigger standing, three-headed figure, a human in semi-profile with a black insect in the mouth and two heads behind with bisexual characteristics, turned en face and stepping with one leg on the bull’s head below. In the direction of the sunrise in the upper left-hand corner a flock of birds is getting closer. With plenty of symbolism and fancy, Kene shows his devotedness to his recognizable style. He portrays his dreams, occasionally mingling them with reality. Believing in good and evil spirits he paints their actions. Distortions of form often make his figures grotesque, emphasized by intensive emotional colouring, transformed into own parables. (N. Krstić).
