Maigold

Short, reddish buds open to large, semidouble, yellow-orange flowers with golden stamens and a rich musk fragrance. It produces one good crop of blooms early in the season, followed by occasional flowers later on. The strong stems are very thorny and covered in plentiful, glossy foliage. Kordes, 1953.
