Majju (Cabinet)

This majju was handed down as an heirloom to a suthar whose grandfather had made it. The owner’s late father (also a suthar) had last painted this majju in traditional colours of red, green and yellow (which were the original colours) during Diwali. It was customary to paint the house and various furniture during Diwali.
