Majju (Cabinet)

The majju was often decorated with a range of chiselled floral and geometric motifs that mimic carvings in local vernacular architecture and other forms of vernacular furniture. The patron would commission a suthar (carpenter) to make a majju and they would collaboratively decide the details and carvings to be added on it.
