This portrait head of a foreigner is made in fine grained light buff coloured Chunar sandstone. It is characterized by a long drooping moustache with curly ends, rounded full cheeks, short nose with broad nostrils, small mouth and wide opened eyes with flattened eye-lids. The chin of this image is broken. The ears are small and without ornaments. The head is covered with cloth headgear, bound by a plain fillet on the forehead, which falls behind like a full-bottomed wig. It possesses the Mauryan polish.
