Mammoth in the frozen soil

Before becoming extinct about 10,000 years ago, there used to be many kinds of mammoths that lived in different places all over the world. With its big teeth and long fur, the Woolly Mammoth is especially well-known. In the permafrost soils of Siberia, many frozen mammoths have been discovered. The sculpture depicts what our ancestors hunting a mammoth might have looked like.
