19 pattern-woven strips joined selvedge to selvedge by whip stitching to create a larger cloth; warp arranged in alternating groups of dark blue and white; primary weft also laid in in the same alternating sequence of dark blue and white creating a gingham-like check throughout plain weave portion of each strip; multi-colored bands and striped blocks of weft faced patterning spaced at intervals amid the gingham ground; five-unit groups of abutting patterned blacks are present at the top and bottom end of each strip forming borders across the top and bottom edges of the cloth when the strips are joined; alternating blocks within these border groups contain pairs of brocaded flattened triangles; top and bottom edges of the cloth are un-hemmed, ending in a short warp fringe.
