20 pattern-woven strips joined selvedge to selvedge by whip stitching to create a larger cloth; warp arranged in multiple stripes including red, white, dark blue, green, mid-blue and yellow; dark blue wefts are largely covered by the warp creating blocks of striped plain weave; blocks of three-units of weft faced patterning (stripes and checks) and brocading (geometric patterns and symbols) worked in green, red, yellow, white, orange, blue, black and muted turquoise are spaced regularly along the strips; some of the wide weft faced stripes are woven with two colors of weft as one and appear as though a marled yarn was used-turquoise with red, green with red, white with red and dark blue with red; the blocks of plain weave and weft faced patterning alternate in position between strips to create a checkerboard-like effect when the strips are joined; top and bottom edges of the cloth are finished with a narrow turned and whip stitched hem.
