Man Šoreš trousers

Made of white rolled cloth called šube; long and tight-fitting. Slits and semicircular flaps, gizde, trimmed with pink leather in the front instead of pockets. Below the slits, a large pattern of stylized flowers and bućma ribbons embroidered in multicolored wool. Red and blue wool sewn onto the seams of legs and below the waist (on the back). Figure-eight and spiral patterns made of woollen cord sewn along the length of the legs, next to red-blue wool and around the pocket slits. At he bottom, legs open to the height of 12 centimeters. Tied around the legs with a 102 centimeter long cloth ribbon. An integral part of the traditional Romanian men’s dress. Made by a tailor and decorated by a furrier at Uzdin in 1907. Worn by Petru Sekešan for festive occasions in winter. Such trousers were worn by men of up to 40 years of age. Fell into disuse. Length: 93 cm.
