The webbing woven using three counts of rope in the warp and weft is called a ter and ones with four counts of rope is called choukda. At every stage of the weaving, a pointed tool is used to tighten the webbing to adjust the gaps between the ropes. Lesser the gap, the sturdier and more durable the webbing is.
