One-handed mano manufactured from a dark gray to brown vesicular basalt. There are two gouges on the top surface, while the working surface is smooth, polished, and slightly darker in color. Darker coloration extends up onto the sides of the mano. Recovered from the floor of a house at the site of Pueblo Grande. Pueblo Grande was a large village located at the headgates of a major canal system. Occupied as early as AD 500, the site reached its greatest extent during the Classic Period. Museum Accession: 1992.18
