Taku spinosocarinatus is a species of mantis shrimp found across the Indo-Pacific ocean. It burrows and lives in cavities among reef flats and can grow up to 18mm or more. It is normally green, brown or near black, and has white spots. It is a smasher, using it powerful appendages to smash prey.
