An illustration of an Gonodactylaceus ternatensis, a species of mantis shrimp found in central pacific waters. The males and females are distinguised by their different colored antennae and uropods (blue and orange/yellow, respectively). It creates and lives from within cavities in branching corals. It can grow up to 12 cm in length.
