Consultorio de Arquitectura Práctica’s manuals teach students, university officials, communities, and NGOs how to collaborate in the construction of works of infrastructure and common buildings. These documents systematize recent experiences of UNAM students in the completion of actual projects for communities in need, which bypass more habitual top-down strategies and teach students about real-world problems. The manuals will be distributed in other universities in Mexico as a strategy to multiply cases of collaboration between architecture schools and organized communities.
