Built as the only international pavilion, the Manueline Palace was designed by architect Francisco Isidro Monteiro in the Manueline style, rich in maritime symbolism. Among its decorative motifs stood out the famous Cross of Malta, evoking navigation and the spirit of discovery. Inside, it showcased products from Portuguese industry, while artworks were displayed in the adjacent Anexo Belas Artes
