Originally, the CEF grounds were divided into three areas; 1) the main complex, with barns and supporting buildings, 2) the experimental fields, and 3) an arboretum.

This map shows buildings concentrated in the eastern portion of the Farm (sections 1, 3, 12, 13, 15 & 16), separating the Arboretum from the orchards and cereal plots. Many of the roads on this map are still part of the Farm today, though some have had their paths and/or names altered.
