Map of Yokohama

This map on a scale of 1:5,000 tells us enormous geographic information around Yokohama in the late 19th century. According to the documentation on this map, The Geographical Bureau the Home Office began to hold the surveying in Yokohama in 1874 and completed in 1878. Based on geographical information acquired in this surveying, this map was compiled and printed in 1881.
