The inscription ΠΡΟΥΣΗΣ ΜΕΝΕΚΡΑΤΟΥΣ ΝΕΙΚΟΜΗΔΕΥΣ ΦΙΛΟΛΟΓΟΣ ΕΤΩΝ ΚΔ ΧΑΙΡΕ ΚΑΙ ΣΥ commemorates the philologist Prouses, son of Menekrates, from Nikomedia in Bythinia, Asia Minor, who died at the early age of 24.
