This marble was found by Archaeological Services Inc. Toronto in 2014. The site was identified as a mid-19th century hotel occupation, a relatively rare case in the context of Ontario archaeology. The marble is one of 13 087 artifacts recovered from the site. It was found in a midden related to the daily occupation of the inn prior to the property reorganization in 1886. The porcellaneous marble is decorated with green, blue and red stripes.
