Chinas or Chinese marbles refer to glazed or unglazed white porcelain marbles made in Germany (not China) from about 1840 to about 1910. These marbles were most often hand painted with decorations of parallel lines, leaves, flowers, or bull's eyes in reds, greens, blues, blacks, and other colors on white.
