Mare (Sea)

Certain images of nature required the nature carpets to be large and possibly lay flat; in this way, people could "live them," immersing themselves in their reality. Mare, while expansive and lying flat in the physical gallery, was part of a “Roll” and therefore is an example of “art by the meter.” It was also exhibited at the Biennale di Venezia in 1993.
