Margarita was the daughter of Volkert Van Vechten (d. 1746) and Lydia Ten Broeck Van Vechten (d. 1748). She married Gerrit C. Van DenBergh. The source of the pose derives from a mezzotint print of Lady Bucknell about 1686, after Sir Godfrey Kneller.
