Maria Sophia

Oxidized iron sculpture with a vaguely elliptical shape. On its surface you see traces of mysterious linear graffiti, like messages from an alien civilization. In the center a triangular cavity opens, that seems to swallow light and recalls the phenomenon of black holes. The only clues offered by the artist to decode this work are: a woman's name, Maria Sophia, and a date, 1967.
