The painting is an example for understanding Prica's special theme and symbolism: he pointed out that the paintings found a starting point in the horizontal - as a symbol of the environment, and in the vertical - a symbol of man. It is precisely these elements that are clearly visible on the canvas, which builds an amazing rhythm of raw color, accentuated contours and, at times, chaotic compositions. At first glance, the painting looks like an example of complete abstraction in which color builds forms, but this is not the case. The thought leads the story to the real world. The depth of the blue of the sky opens the space to the unusually red sea to bring to the fore the dynamics of the central composition. Questions arise: Why is the lower horizontal red? Why Mary's ship? Was it one of the fishermen who went out every day in search of a catch? The answers may not be definitive, although in the final analysis they would rather contribute to a broader understanding of the work.
