In 1935, Hazelle Harriet Hedges Rollins launched Hazelle, Inc. in her father����_��s basement. She created more than 300 original puppet characters and earned three patents����_��one for the marionette mouth mechanism, one for the marionette airplane control, and one for a marionette ankle/shoe movement. For more than 40 years, Hazelle, Inc. remained one of the largest exclusive manufacturers of toy puppets.
