Mark and Chris Beverly

In October of 2018, Orange County Library System hosted StoryCorps, a non-profit which provides people across the country with the opportunity to record and preserve the stories of their lives. Archiving the wisdom, experience, and cultural history of participants for the use of future generations.

During these recordings, local artist Thomas Thorspecken illustrated each of the subjects with pencil and watercolors.

Chris Beverly has successfully been able to transform his passion for music into a career with the assistance of the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center. This passion for music was planted by his father, Mark Beverly, who has supported Chris throughout his music career.

Mark’s passion for others lead him to establish the nonprofit, Veteran Entitlement, which connects military veterans with free resources that can help them find employment, purchase a home, and more.
