Mars is a muscular military hero dressed in chain mail. He is wearing a dragon helmet and carrying a battle-axe and shield. At his feet are a magpie and a wolf.

Additional information:
Mars is the god of war and he is shown here armed and equipped for battle. The wolf is dedicated to him and, like Mars, is known for its ferocity. However, it is also an allusion to the she-wolf who suckled Romulus and Remus, the sons of Mars. The magpie is also an attribute of Mars since its powerful beak allows it to fight off other birds. The dragon on the helmet is an allusion to Vigilance, a necessary virtue for the god of war.
