On her chest she wears a gold medal suspended from a pink ribbon. Mrs. Robinson (1888-1981) graduated from Newcomb College in 1909 and began civic work immediately. In 1915 she became director of the Child Welfare Association. In the 1930s through 1950s, she worked for political reform in the Honest Election League, the Women Citizens' Union, and the New Orleans League of Women Voters as its first president. She was a founding member of the Louisiana Landmaarks Society, serving as president from 1958-1962. She received the Times-Picayune Loving Cup in 1961 and the Louise Dupont Crowinshield Award presented by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
