Reverend Mary Lewis Wilson is a native of Buffalo, New York, born to a family of preachers and spiritual leaders. The legacy continues through her two daughters, Minister Anika Wilson Brown and Minister Kalilia (LiLi) Wilson. She is the Executive Pastor of the Union Temple Baptist Church, where her husband, Rev. Willie F. Wilson, is the pastor.

Reverend Mary L. Wilson is an alumnus of Howard University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and psychology. She received her Master of Divinity degree at the Howard University School of Divinity. Her scholarship and her compassion combined are the substance of a dynamic ministry that is manifested in her vision and her leadership qualities. God is glorified in the work of this Woman of God because of her innate ability to empower and encourage others.

The many innovations for which Reverend Mary L. Wilson is responsible include, but are not limited to, the Ministry Vision Team; the Marketing Ministry, the Children's Development Advisory Council; the annual Women's Conference/Retreat; a publication of inspirational expressions and the Omni Ministry for Children. Most recently, Rev. Mary instituted "Union Temple UBUNTU", which is a comprehensive care giving ministry that comforts the bereaved, ministers to the sick and the shut in and provides direction and support to new members of the church. She is also the acting Dean of the Leon Wright Seminary at Union Temple.
