One of the few Italian works in the Staatliche Kunsthalle is also the result of Sybilla Augusta's appreciation of southern art and architecture. Lorenzo di Credi's tondo depicting "Mary Worshipping the Infant with the Young John" (c. 1480) had been an altarpiece in the Rastatt Palace Church.
