Masetto by Lamporecchio

The landscape depicts the 'green garden' of the nuns where Masetto Da Lamporecchio worked, in the novel first day of the 'Decamerone' by G. Boccaccio ('Masetto ortolano delle monache'). The drawing was performed at the invitation of the National Association 'Giovanni Boccaccio' to appear at the 'Omaggio a G. Boccaccio' exhibition held in Certaldo in 1967. The painter creates here a lucidly composed rustic world that reveals his temperament as an etching engraver .
