Masked personage - Culture Bankoni

The sculpture, coarsely made, is crafted from various cylindrical pieces joined together. These form the trunk, the lower body, the arms, forearms and head. Owing to the deterioration presented by the piece, if is difficult to determine the posture adopted by the personage, who may be seated or kneeling as is habitual in Bankoni pieces. However, its iconography is strange in the context, which makes it a peculiar piece.
