Three bronze masks: the face of a young man in a Phrygian cap, a theatrical mask and the head of a man with a short hairstyle are from the burial of a young Sarmatian woman from the mound near the village of Chuhuno-Krepynka. They were found in various places in the grave, but their location next to parts of horse harness and the remains of leather belts suggest that they were attached to the horse's bridle, performing the function of protective charms. However, this is already a secondary use of masks. Initially, they served as decorations for Roman furniture, caskets, and vessels.
