In the form of a book, featuring incised decoration of various Masonic symbols, including a compass enclosed in an archway at center and dove at upper right corner. Reverse features array of other Masonic symbols. Top panel curved like a book spine, "Hugh Borland" inscribed on bottom panel, "No. 406" inscribed on right panel, which also serves as lid, hinged on pin at lower right. Striker on left panel.
