This improvement to the traditional tourniquet can be applied in stressful situations with little to no training using only one hand, so it can be applied by the victim him/herself. Multiple tests in extreme conditions have proven MAT to be the fastest, most effective, easiest to use and user-preferred of all available tourniquets.
