The original dress was some years older. The skirt was expanded and a second bodice made in a newer model. The dress first seemed to have been tailored to fit someone who had grown heavier, but when it was arranged on a mannequin, it became clear that the alterations were to accomodate a pregnancy. Inconspicous adaptations make it almost impossible to recongnize these dresses as maternity wear. It is therefore not hard to imagine that other collections may also include dresses that have still not revealed their secrets.
