Broadway actress Maude Adams poses with a 25 Watt Mazda lamp and 30 kilowatt incandescent lamp. After Maude Adams retired from acting, she came to Schenectady to work with the General Electric Illuminating Engineering Laboratory on developing new lighting for theaters. The 30 kW lamp was developed by Adams in conjunction with the laboratory was used in theaters and airports.
