Medal

The medal was made in honor of Clara Barton during the Bicentennial of the town of Oxford, Massachusetts in 1913, a year after her death. During the Bicentennial there were several presentations done in honor of Miss Barton. The medal is in the shape of a cross. The front of the medal has Clara Barton in the center. At the top of the cross there is an engraving of her birthplace. At the right of the cross there is the univ. church 1792. At the bottom of the cross there is "Clara Barton, The World's Greatest Nurse". At the left of the cross there is an engraving of the public library. The back of the medal has; Town of Oxford Mass. Incorporated 1713 in the middle. The top has 200th anniversary. The right has 1913 Newark N.J. The bottom has Oxford Mass. The left has 1713 Ward Co.
