Medallion presented to Frank Beaurepaire by the S.L.S.A. of N.S.W. in 1922 for aiding in the rescue of a shark attack victim at Coogee Beach. Obverse depicts a man being crowned with a laurel wreath and text in legend reads "MERITORIUS AWARD / THE SURF LIFE SAVING ASSOCIATION OF N.S.W.". Reverse features a map of Australia and wreath. Inscription reads "FRANK DE BEAUREPAIRE / NORTH BONDI SURF L.S. CLUB / AT COOGEE / 25.2.1922".
