Medallion with goldfinch - Detail of the fireplace

The fireplace, made by the Roman Cardelli stonecutters, is in white marble with plasma green mirrors and has three small mosaic medallions depicting three goldfinches, birds perhaps chosen not by chance precisely in reference to the authors' surname.
