Reproduction of the work of Dioscorides, composed in the first century, which is one of the most important titles of Pharmacology in Antiquity. His arrival in the Iberian Peninsula in the middle of the tenth century was fundamental in the development of Andalusian pharmacology. This work, originally written in Greek, was studied, revised and translated into Arabic in the Califalian Cordova by a heterogeneous group of scientists. The Cordovan physician Ibn Yulyul commented in his work that "thanks to the research done by this group of doctors about the simple names of the book of Dioscorides, came to be known in Cordoba and in all al-Andalus the true properties of plants, disappearing the doubts that were had ".
