This pouch was used to carry medicine, i.e. objects that allowed one to contact the spiritual forces of nature and, with their help, achieve a goal. The motif, finely embroidered in porcupine quills, represents a Thunderbird surrounded by lightning. The shiny silver band reflects light, a symbolic reference to the supernatural world of manitos.

Le panneau minutieusement brodé de piquants de porc-épic représente des éclairs entourant un oiseau-tonnerre. La bande étincelante en argent reflète la lumière et est associée symboliquement au pouvoir surnaturel des manitos.
