"Mediterranea" exhibition panels

“Mediterranea” is an exhibition curated for Matera 2019 by ASI (Italian Space Agency) and Telespazio that tells the story of this sea and its populations.
Unreleased satellite images, photos, videos and site-specific installations integrated with the display of significant works of ancient and contemporary art highlight the complexity of this place that still today proves to be central not only to the future of its inhabitants but also to the issues of migration and climate change that require the attention of the international community, demonstrating once again how when we talk about the Mediterranean we mean a shared heritage to be protected.
